We want our couples to totally relax and enjoy their day without having to share the space with anyone else and this is extended to the fact that we won’t do viewings on wedding days, so the first people to enjoy the Barns fully dressed for a wedding day are the Bride and Groom themselves.

Venue capacity – How many guests can attend the day ceremony, if applicable, wedding breakfast & the evening reception?

We can cater for between 60 and 160 for the Reception and Wedding Breakfast and between 100 and 200 guests for the evening party.

Tell us just a little about any wedding packages you offer

We don’t have any food or drinks ‘packages’ at Redhouse Barn.  Every wedding is bespoke so couples never have to compromise on the foods they love to eat or the choice they provide.

We provide only the very highest standards of service, blended with a relaxed personal style to help ‘create’ very special weddings for our couples.

Do you have in-house catering, or preferred suppliers or are couples free to choose their own caterers?

We have fantastic in-house Caterers ‘Morgans’ who offer multi-award winning bespoke catering for all of our couples.  Having won the Wedding Industry Awards and Food Industry Awards several times and most recently winning the award for best National Caterer of the year at the Good Food Awards 2017, we know our couples are in safe hands with one of the best catering teams in the country. As such we do not have any external caterers at the Barns.

Couples begin their food journey with a private food consultation with Chef Anthony Morgan to design their menus, chatting through their favourite ingredients and the styles of food they love, to create a menu that is totally unique for their wedding.

This is followed by a full food tasting of their chosen menus and a complimentary  Wine Tasting where they can chat to our sommeliers about what would best compliment their wedding breakfast choices.

Can couples supply their own alcohol for the evening? Is there a corkage fee?

We are able to offer a corkage option to couples wishing to supply their own wines up until the end of the wedding breakfast.  In the evening we have a fully stocked and very well priced bar for guests to enjoy.

Are couples completely free to choose their own wedding entertainment & do you have a specific sound system?

Following their initial viewing we send couples a list of recommended suppliers that we genuinely think are fantastic at what they do. Couples don’t have to use them and are very welcome to find their own suppliers if they wish. There are only a few suppliers couples have to use here such as our Award winning Caterers ‘Morgans’ and a wonderful home from home Dog sitting service run by Jane’s sister Anne.

As far as evening entertainment is concerned  our in-built equipment is second to none, therefore we are not dependant on what a band or DJ brings in.

Our Bose sound system and professional lighting system with the latest special effects lights, 3D lasers, back wall screen projection and light-up dance floor means couples just need to add people for a great party!

Do you offer accommodation on site? If so, for how many guests?

New for spring/ summer 2018 will be a luxury Bridal Suite in the Farm house for couples to stay overnight.  We are also blessed with hundreds of hotel rooms to suit any budget within 5 minutes of the Barns for guests to stay if they don’t want to travel home after a good party!

Do you have an in-house wedding co-ordinator?

As owners of the business we are personally with or couples every step of the way, helping turn dreams into days full of love and happiness in beautiful surroundings.  We limit our weddings to around 60 each year and no more than 2 consecutive weddings per week in high season.  This allows us to provide a very personal and hands-on experience for each of our couples from initial viewings through to the wedding day itself.

We love to get to know our couples and build a relationship with them, which would not be possible if we had ‘package’ weddings every day of the year and a huge team of wedding coordinators.  It is a special relationship that extends beyond the wedding day to the birth of their children, wedding anniversaries and other life events!

On the wedding day itself our attention to detail is supported by a Front of House Manager throughout the duration of the wedding from first guests arriving through to ordering taxis at the end of the night.  We want our couples to totally relax and enjoy their day in the knowledge that everything is running smoothly and exactly how they want it.

How far in advance can couples or their wedding stylist, florist etc have access to the venue in order to decorate it?

Anything non perishable is usually dropped off at the Barns the day before the wedding allowing our staff to start setting up for the wedding.

Perishable items such as the flowers and cake always arrive on the morning of the wedding so they are beautifully fresh for the day.

Do you have gardens or an outdoor area for wedding photographs?

The Barns are set in 5 acres of grounds including an acre and a half of landscaped gardens with koi ponds and beautiful seasonal planting.

The Gardens provide a wonderful relaxed space and a myriad of options for photography backdrops for both group photos and for private reflection when the Bride and Groom are alone with their photographer.

What’s your best advice to couples when choosing their perfect wedding venue?

Before viewing any venues it is a good idea to put together a few key things you are looking for from your perfect wedding venue, this will help you create a bit of a shortlist from which your dream venue will hopefully emerge.

The best thing to do is then go and view a few options, nothing beats seeing your venue first-hand and meeting the team who will be looking after you throughout your wedding journey!

Any finally, what are your favourite moments from previous wedding you’ve been involved with?

There are so many moments from every wedding which could easily be in the running but I think in general it’s got to be seeing the emotions on the Grooms face as his Bride to be walks down the aisle. The focus is usually on the Bride at this point so it is a moment that is often missed!
