Morgan & Thread – Fun & Original Customised Wedding Trainers

by Michelle

The minute we saw these awesome customised trainers by Morgan & Thread, we knew we had to share them with you straight away.

Morgan & Thread is the brainchild of Bex an embellishment designer with a love affair with shoes. Her designs take everyday trainers to the next level and beyond, transforming them into stunning mini works of art.

There’s something for all brides from rock chic to boho, and traditional romantics to the free spirited festival bride. The real bonus though is that not only will you look amazing in your hand embellished trainers on your big day, you can continue to wear and enjoy them long after.

And of coursethere’s no law that says that Morgan & Thread’s trainers have to be worn as wedding gear, so why not treat yourself to a pair just because you love them?

Either way, as showstopper wedding shoes or simply a special teat, take a little, or a lot of inspiration from our favourites below. Then either request something similar with a few tweaks to reflect your individual style. Or why not go for a totally bespoke pair? Just imagine the fun you could have designing those?

First things first though and browse our selection, including some super cute kids designs, and we just know you’ll be as smitten with them all as we are.

For Brides Looking for something traditional, perhaps a little boho with a modern twist – we love these two styles:

These cross stitched shoes are truly unique and a real work of art.

Bex has taken all white leather perforated slip-on Van and added the most beautiful large cross stitch rose embroidery on the front surrounded by delicate beadwork which extends round the side.

The individual leaves add a three dimensional effect to this show stopper of a wedding shoe. It’s like wearing your own rose garden on your feet.

Simply perfect for the bride who’s looking for a vintagey vibe and a little sparkle on her big day shoes.

The Betty began life as a white, low top Converse with black dotty sole detail. Hand punched and moulded sequins, twisted polymer clay and beads are all added together with delicate fabric leafy accents.

We love how the pastel shades add just enough colour and then the bright pops of pink make these shoes sing.

For Alternative brides looking for something a little different, these styles are amazing:

Mama Coco

Skulls and flowers; the perfect modern mix that’s completely on trend and will appeal to all you rock n roll brides out there.

The classic high top converse in black is embellished with a grey and black embroidered rockabilly skull with hot pink flower details, which really pop against the monochrome background.

Green hand embroidered vine with leaves, together with yellow hand embroidery french knots finish this design beautifully.

Bon Bon Silver Socks

For those who love to sparkle, a pair of Chuck Taylor All Star Classic High top Converse in Red with a generous scattering of rainbow gems and a brilliant white lace unicorn patch.

These are so fun, glittery and always the centre of attention on your wedding day and way beyond.

Just For Kids –  If you’re searching for something a little different for your mini maids and page boys, you’ll love these:

Lady Bug

Super cute and perfect for little bridesmaids who love flowers and the outdoors, these kids Converse tick all the boxes with their hand stitched ladybird motif and 3D embroidered lace flowers.

Little Rocket

Just the thing for budding astronauts, these kids Converse feature a hand stitched rocket motif, initials and special date.

Matching Bride & Bridesmaids Trainers

For brides looking to match their bridesmaids footwear with their own, this is a brilliant idea – Sophia can be made up in both adult and child’s sizes .

It features a pair of all white Vans with delicate touches of colour, shown here in pink, but customisable to your wedding colours.

Both adult and child’s designs feature a lace rose style flower motif with  white and silver mirror bead work, small pink rose style clay flowers, finished with rose coloured gems.
