Sumptuous & Vibrant Parasols From The East London Parasol Company

by Michelle

As you know, colour makes our spirits soar here at Girl Gets Wed so as soon as we spotted that the East London Parasol Company had launched their 2020 Collection, we couldn’t wait to share it with you. And who doesn’t need an uplifting shot of colour at the moment?

Their post last summer was super popular and the great news is that a number of our favourites are back in stock together with a whole host of new designs.

All these stunning parasols are handmade in India and Bali and we can’t think of anything better to add a pop of colour to your garden and your life right now.  There’s also a fab new matching cushion collection available that we’ll share with you soon, so inside or out let colour, creativity and great craftsmanship lift your spirits and brighten your day.

And of course, planning forward to when we can all get out again, any of these parasols would look just stunning at your wedding venue, whatever your setting, from a free spirited woodland celebration to a barn or country house wedding.

We genuinely love all the East London Parasol’s designs, but to save this post been as long as your arm, or whole body, we’ve just given you a taste of their loveliness below with some of our absolute favourites.

Etta

Etta features vibrant tangerine twill fabric with a lotus design hand painted in gold ink with fuchsia pink fringing and sunset orange tassels completing the look.

Nina

This is a unique piece and a show-stopping garden parasol, blending together the best of modern textile technology and traditional craftsmanship. The navy blue background is the perfect base for the verdant banana leaf design in pastel blues and greens.

Jane

When we saw the Jane parasol we were instantly smitten by the wonderful colour combination of the lime green fabric and gold lotus design with hot pink tassels.

Like all these designs it would make an equally dashing feature in your garden  or or informally at a festival inspired wedding. Add it to a town wedding and you’ll instantly add a dash of the exotic to your day.

Meryl

Meryl is another large stunner of a parasol featuring a cream waterproof canvas digitally printed with a verdant banana leaf design in shades of green.

The inside is lined with cream taffeta with green threading and bamboo spokes. The pole is made from hand carved durian wood with gold paint and finial, the pole joint is brass.

Simone

Such an elegant, timeless choice the Simone has a cream background which is hand painted with gold. Sophisticated and flamboyant, Simone is a perfect elegant garden parasol and would look equally sophisticated in your chic urban wedding setting.

Pink Nina

OK we admit it, Girl Gets Wed hot pink is one of our favourite colours. and this Pink Nina parasol is such a beauty . Again it’s digitally printed with a banana leaf design on a water resistant canvas with blue accents.

This piece of pink perfection is lined with pink taffeta with pink threading and bamboo spokes. It so makes us want to pull up one of those chairs and just chill.

Dolly

Well hello Dolly and what an absolute stunner you are to round up our hot pick of favourites. Dolly is hand block printed suzani pattern cotton, lined with sky blue taffeta. With hand made pink tassels.

A stunning bohemian statement not just for your wedding but for your garden, picnics, patios, glamping and alfresco dining, especially when paired with one of East London Parasol’s specially made ground spikes. It’s without doubt a  showstopper.

Each part of the pattern is painstakingly hand block printed with a different block for each colour. The parasol can only be printed three panels at a time, this is a very special piece.

Whitney

Whitney would be such an amazing choice where you’re looking to add a pop of colour to the proceedings. Pink, yellow, orange and gold all combine with fringing pom poms and beads to give you a wonderfully exotic look.

Olivia

Olivia is a truly sumptuous stunner. Scarlet red twill with lotus design hand painted in gold ink. Pink threading inside and bamboo spokes.

The pole is made from hand carved durian wood pole with gold paint and finial, the pole join is made from solid brass, whilst the fringing is in shades of red and dove grey with the most beautiful hot pink tassels.

We can just imagine this beauty holding court in your garden or as a colour pop show stealer at your boho wedding.
