With several wedding venue spaces to choose from that can be tailored specifically to your day, you can say your vows in the main house under the soaring Domed Saloon.Or you can hold your ceremony in the conservatory amongst the lush greenery of the one of the rarest collections of Camellias in the country and achieve the feeling of an outdoor ceremony with the comfort of indoor preparations.
After the ceremony, your guests will naturally spill out into the Italian garden for congratulations, champagne and the sweet scent of roses.
For your reception, in addition to the above, you have the choice of the Burlington Pavilion, a stylish, flexible semi-permanent purpose built marquee with neutral ivory interior and chandelier lighting.

Designed in 1729 by the 3rd Earl of Burlington, Chiswick House is the earliest and most important Palladian villa in England. It’s splendid neo-classical architecture and lavishly gilded rooms have provided the backdrop to fabulous parties through the Centuries.

Do you offer civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies?
Yes, Civil Ceremonies can be hosted in Chiswick House in the spectacular Domed Saloon with up to 92 guests, or in The Conservatory overlooking our stunning Italian Garden with up to 46 guests.
Do couples & their wedding party have exclusive use of your venue?
The gardens remain open to the public 365 days a year, however couples have exclusive use to the venue they’re hiring and a certain perimeter surrounding it to maximise their privacy.
Venue capacity – How many guests can attend the day ceremony, if applicable, wedding breakfast & the evening reception?
Chiswick House can host 92 guests for a civil ceremony, 150 guests for a drinks reception or 64 guests for a seated dinner. The Conservatory can host 46 guests for a civil ceremony, 150 guests for a drinks reception or 24 guests for a seated dinner.
The Burlington Pavilion can host up to 250 guests for dinner and dancing. The beauty of Chiswick House is the flexibility to build a personalised combination of the different venues to compose your perfect day.
Tell us just a little about any wedding packages you offer
Do you have in-house catering, or preferred suppliers or are couples free to choose their own caterers? We have an accredited suppliers list for catering, marquee décor and floristry which we kindly request couples to select from.
Couples are free to select other suppliers such as photographers, videographers and musicians; we are always happy make recommendations and suggestions for all of these services and more.
Can couples supply their own alcohol for the evening?
Is there a corkage fee? We do not charge a corkage fee, however couples are encouraged to discuss this with their caterer as they may charge a handling fee.
Are couples completely free to choose their own wedding entertainment & do you have a specific sound system?
Couples are free to choose their own entertainment for the day and we will always happily make suggestions and recommendations upon request.
Do you offer accommodation on site? If so, for how many guests?
We don’t offer on site accommodation but we do have a list of local hotels available to couples.
Do you have an in-house wedding planner?
We do not have an in-house wedding planner but our events team are always on hand to assist and advise our couples with any aspect of their day.
How far in advance can couples or their wedding stylist, florist etc have access to the venue in order to decorate it?
Access is usually 3-4 hours prior to the event start time, however we will set an appropriate time frame based on the couple’s needs.
Do you have gardens or an outdoor area for wedding photographs?
The grounds of Chiswick House and Gardens provide endless photo opportunities. The most popular are the Italian Garden,
and the Classic Bridge. On the day, couples can be driven to various locations with their photographer by one of our event wardens to ensure they can re-join their wedding party in good time.
And finally, what are your favourite moments from previous wedding you’ve been involved with?
Following the Civil Ceremony of all couples, we encourage them to enjoy a glass of Champagne on the balcony to allow them to take a moment for themselves before re-joining their guests. This is always such a special moment to capture and one we hope they will always remember.
