The Ned will happily take care of all your wedding needs from that all important pre-wedding pampering at the luxurious Cowshed Spa, arranging your individual ceremony details and offering the most delicious wedding breakfast, and of course, hosting a great party.

Tell us about your venue

The Ned is a luxury five star hotel with a collection of boutique restaurants, a members’ club and spa in the City of London.

Set in the former Midland Bank building, The Ned was designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens in 1924. The space includes ten restaurants, 250 bedrooms channeling 1920s and 1930s design, a range of men’s and women’s grooming services and ‘Ned’s Club’, where members have access to a rooftop pool, gym, spa, hammam and late-night lounge bar in the bank’s original vault. It’s the perfect venue for your London wedding.

Do you offer civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies?


Do couples & their wedding party have exclusive use of your venue?

Exclusive use of the events floor is available for a higher food & beverage minimum spend.

Venue capacity – How many guests can attend the day ceremony, if applicable, wedding breakfast & the evening reception?

Ceremony – licensed for 110 people in Saloon. Wedding Breakfast in Tapestry – 120 people either on 2 long tables or 12 round tables of 10. Evening reception – 120 people in the Saloon.

Tell us just a little about any wedding packages you offer

We offer 2 packages – 30K and 50K, more information listed in our online brochure.

Do you have in-house catering, or preferred suppliers or are couples free to choose their own caterers?

In-house caterers

Can couples supply their own alcohol for the evening? Is there a corkage fee?

Corkage fee (£30 for 750ml bottle of wine and £50 for 750ml bottle of champagne)

Are couples completely free to choose their own wedding entertainment & do you have a specific sound system?

Very flexible. We have our recommend suppliers list but guests are more than welcome to organise their own. We have in build speakers in our large event spaces – guests can plug in their own music or alternatively play our in house jazz or club music. We also have PA system that can support speeches

Do you offer accommodation on site? If so, for how many guests?

Yes, discounted rate for more than 10 bedrooms. Total of 252 bedrooms in the hotel

Do you have an in-house wedding co-ordinator?


How far in advance can couples or their wedding stylist, florist etc have access to the venue in order to decorate it?

We are flexible and can be decided at contract stage.

Do you have gardens or an outdoor area for wedding photographs?

2 terraces on the events floor. Outside the front of the hotel is also an option

What’s your best advice to couples when choosing their perfect wedding venue?

To feel comfortable with the space and venue team.
