Tell us a little about yourself and your business
My husband & I live on beautiful Dartmoor with our 3 children. You might of seen my husband successful hog roast business around Devon and Cornwall , it’s called Hungry Hog South West.
We saw there was a demand for a mobile bar with a special touch and with our youngest child starting school it was a great opportunity to start our own mobile bar.. it’s a fun and very exciting time for our family..So what’s the best part of Poppin’ Bottles Mobile Bar? It has to be the people we meet!
Already we have met so many great people and had some great times. Every day is a new experience and hopefully we can help you with your event, party or function.
What motivated you to start your business?
It was a walk – we were out walking and chatting and I had been making final interviews for jobs but not getting over the finish line – Mark said to me how many enquiries he passes to other Mobile Bars so why are we passing it to other people thats how Poppin Bottles Mobile Bar was born …
Tell us a little more about the day to day activities of your business
We regularly attend our local campsite twice a week which is going very well , we also attend a local food market monthly and obviously attend events and weddings throughout Devon and Cornwall.
If our readers were to order from you, what can they expect?
A beautiful shabby chic converted rice trailer that is very contemporary and will fit in with any venue or event and forms a talking point for everyone , you will get five star treatment from all the staff as you would expect.
How can couples judge if a company is the right fit for their wedding?
Couples can judge the right company I think by the response time and information they receive from the supplier , the more information and pictures they receive proves very popular and as a picture paints a thousand words.
What are your favourite moments from previous weddings you’ve been involved with?
From the initial contact to the setting up to the packing away and the follow up email – its great to be a part of peoples special day and making it special for them.
The bigger picture – does your business offer goods/services outside of the wedding world? Tell us more
My husband and I also run a very successful outside catering business alongside the mobile bar “ A Hog Roast and a Mobile Bar what more could you ask for ? “ that’s the response we get from most people who visit us or book us …. We don’t just do weddings we are available for Events (Private or Corporate) to be quite honest we can cater for whatever is required anything is open for discussion ….
What have you got planned for the next 12 months?
So we are just building the business as we only launched in May this year and are very happy with the enquiries and bookings we have received so far , we receive so many positive comments from the look of the Mobile Bar to what we offer within the bar catering for all , looking forward we are just building our Poppin Bottles Pop Up Bar which will run alongside or separately to the Mobile Bar this will run with the theme and colours of the Mobile Bar.
And finally, what or who inspires you and why?
I inspire myself to offer the best Mobile Bar business I can offering guests the best experience that I would expect to receive myself.
