Two Temple Place – A stunning & Exclusive London Venue

by Michelle

Two Temple Place is one of London’s finest hidden architectural gems. Nestled in the centre of London overlooking the Thames, its fantastic location and stunning interiors combine to make it an absolutely perfect wedding venue for couples looking for an opulent central London venue minutes from the City.

A beautiful late-Victorian architectural hybrid, the house offers the grandeur and majesty of a fine London mansion with the intimacy of a private home. The interiors are adorned with mahogany, marble and stained glass and create a sumptuous  yet intimate setting for your wedding.

Two Temple Place, a member of Britian’s Finest Weddings portfolio offers fantastic flexibility for your big day across three fabulous main event spaces and several additional smaller rooms.

Standing majestically at the centre of the house is the grand oak and mahogany staircase adorned with literary and historical carvings, creating both an ornamental centrepiece for your day and a spectacular space for your wedding photos.

We’ll hand toy straight over to the wedding team at Two Temple Place now to guide us through their splendid venue.

Tell us about your venue

Two Temple Place is one of London’s most exclusive and well-kept wedding venue secrets. The venue was built in 1895 and is a stunning example of neo-Gothic architecture. Built for William Astor, then the richest man in the world, it was primarily used as his estate office. Currently owned by registered charity The Bulldog Trust, the house is available for exclusive hire and is an opulent yet intimate space in which to hold your event.

This elegant and unique riverside mansion house will become your home for the perfect wedding celebration for you and your guests.  Sip champagne in the former private Library of William Waldorf Astor and surprise your guests with a journey through the secret door in the wood panelled walls and into the majestic Great Hall for your wedding breakfast.

Later into the evening, you and your guests can dance the night away in the grand Lower Gallery overlooking the Thames at Victoria Embankment.  With a beautiful garden forecourt which acts as a suntrap in the summer months, celebratory drinks and canapés can be served outside in fine weather, British summertime permitting.

The sweeping staircase, colourful stained glass windows and ornate marble fireplaces of Two Temple Place will wow your guests as they have done for generations!

We have a beautiful and intimate courtyard at the front of the house which is a beautiful spot for wedding photos. We also have our grade II listed steps which have a beautiful backdrop of the entrance to the house behind them.

What’s your best advice to couples when choosing their perfect wedding venue?

It’s your day so follow your heart and do it your way. Be realistic and have a budget in mind before visiting venues, there’ll be nothing more disheartening than visiting your dream venue only to find its way out of budget because nowhere else will live up to the dream.
