Grace Lane London design and make the most beautiful contemporary wedding dresses. We recently had the pleasure of meeting Grace, the owner at The Most Curious Wedding Fair in Brick Lane, London recently and we can attest to the fact that her dresses look absolutely stunning close up. We love the thoughtful design features, creative pattern cutting and of course, the quality and attention to detail of the finished designs.
Here are just a few of our favourites from Grace’s debut collection entitled ‘Glow’ which celebrates that super exciting time when you’re newly engaged. All designs are made to order in the most gorgeous premium fabrics.
Bias Cut off the shoulder dress
Bias cut means that this dress fits and flares effortlessly, naturally skimming your body in the most flattering way.
Double layer silk satin slip dress
There’s a relaxed yet refined elegance to this dress that’s so alluring. The spaghetti straps and deep V neckline and V back are a delightful modern take on a timeless slip dress shape. And we adore the headband; you can have one made up to match whichever dress you choose.
Sand washed silk dress with French lace back & sleeves
This sand-washed silk dress is a real show stopper. It reminds us of the glamour of 1940’s gowns in it’s bodice shaping, but Grace has skillfully kept it throughly modern with the beautiful French Lace detail and the back of the dress is adorable giving you a sheer but covered look that will chime with any bride looking for something romantic but sassy at the same time.
Silk satin wrap around top worn with sand-washed silk skirt
We love wedding separates and they don’t get much better than this beautiful figure enhancing silk wrap top and sand washed skirt. Perfect for any wedding, we think this thoroughly modern combo would be absolutely perfect for the super chic bride planning her glamorous city wedding.
Again, the top has echos of old school movie star glamour, but it’s the unexpected twist at the back which reveals a playful modern edge balanced beautifully with a classic fit and flair skirt which forms it’s own small train.
Wildflower embroidered overlay dress with covered buttons
The wildflower embroidery on this dress is just exquisite, with just the right combination of a fully embroidered bodice and sleeves softening to a subtle scattering of flowers on the skirt and a romantic flurry of blooms at the hem.
