Middle Temple must be one of central London’s best kept wedding secrets. Step away from the bustle of busy central London and onto the cobbles and lantern lit Middle Temple Lane and you will instantly feel that you are somewhere special.
One of the four ancient Inns of Court, Middle Temple is situated at the heart of London, overlooking the Thames. Although just moments away from Fleet Street, The Strand and Embankment, the peace and tranquility of the grounds and the awe-inspiring splendour of the buildings is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the London streets.
Built between 1562 and 1573, the main buildings have remained virtually unchanged to this day, with many original features surviving the Great Fire of London and both World Wars. Superb, detailed architecture, impressive oak paneling and beautiful stained glass create a breathtaking and majestic atmosphere – a truly spectacular setting for your wedding.
There are a number of elegant and inviting rooms to choose from for your ceremony and reception, including the towering splendour of the main hall. So whether you’re planning a celebration on a grand scale or something altogether more intimate, you’ll find something delightful and appropriate for your big day.
Middle Temple also boasts a generous garden space leading down from the hall itself towards the river. Perfect for a summer marquee dinner or cocktail reception.
It’s time to hand you over to the team now for a further insight into this superb venue.
