Pamela and James chose the wonderfully romantic Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh as their beautiful wedding venue. Stunning shades of autumn surrounded them at every turn with beautiful images captured throughout the day by blog buddy and photographer Jenny at JB Moments Photography.
With a mix of Scottish and Italian traditions and inspiration to reflect their backgrounds, Pamela and James’s day had a light and relaxed vibe which even extended to Alice in Wonderland references as a fun nod to Pamela’s favourite book. Over to the lovely couple themselves now to tell us more about their day.
What was the style of your wedding?
Romantic/ vintage- a combination of style and playfulness to create a light and lovely atmosphere for everybody.
How did you make your day feel really personal to you as a couple?
We had a mix of Scottish and Italian traditions in order to respect our backgrounds. We decided the theme of the wedding which was floral with some references to Alice in Wonderland which is my favourite book.
How did you decide on your venue?
It is somewhere we go regularly for romantic walks and picnics.
Tell us about your wedding outfits
Jim was wearing traditional Scottish hunting Stewart kilt and me a romantic princess style wedding dress.
What was your standout moment of your day?
The first dance I would say and having our pictures taken in the beautiful scenery of the Botanic Gardens in autumn.
What are your top tips for other couples planning their wedding?
