Tell us about your venue

Hayne House is a romantic haven nestled within a private estate with enchanting gardens, a lovingly restored hunting pavilion, previously owned by Edward VIII and Mrs Simpson.  Complimenting the house is a brand new purpose built Orangery that brings the outside in.

Family run with exceptional service and award winning food using seasonal home grown produce, couples can enjoy exclusive use and a whole host of quirky and charming features.

Do you offer civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies?

Yes, at Hayne House whatever season you have in mind for your wedding, the versatility of makes it a unique setting for your big day. With a choice of ceremony areas inside and out, including the exquisite purpose built orangery, available  from April 2018, picturesque landscaped grounds, and the elegant house packed with character, Hayne House wedding venue is an exceptional backdrop for your dream wedding reception in Kent.

Do couples & their wedding party have exclusive use of your venue?

Absolutely. From the moment your guests arrive you enjoy exclusive use Hayne House and the undivided attention of a family  dedicated to delivering the very best service and ensuring the day is perfectly tailored to your needs.

Venue capacity – How many guests can attend the day ceremony, if applicable, wedding breakfast & the evening reception?

We can accommodate up to 120 guests for a ceremony and dining and up to 150 for an evening reception!

Each couple visiting us for the very first time meets with an experienced member of our team and enjoys a detailed initial visit and tour of the venue.

Drawing on our expertise we have handpicked a selection of high-end award winning wedding suppliers to cover every aspect of your special day and ease your wedding planning.  We insist on the highest standards from all our wedding suppliers in terms of quality, presentation, service and innovative ideas, so we know that our handpicked selection will exceed your expectations in every way.

We are completely transparent with regards to our costings, publishing all our prices and availability on line which helps hugely when couples are planning and budgeting for their big day.

Do you have in-house catering, or preferred suppliers or are couples free to choose their own caterers?

Winners in the catering category for the 2017/18 Kent Wedding Awards our partner caterers Touchays offer succulent dishes, always stylishly presented using the finest and freshest ingredients for your wedding day. They are devoted to offering a professional and caring service, so their attention to detail always goes noticed and we are proud to be working alongside them.

Our selection of menus is designed to suit your culinary style, from the traditional three-course wedding breakfast to BBQ menus or vintage afternoon tea. Prepared to the highest standards, you will be impressed not only by the delicious variety of dishes all freshly cooked on site but by the level of care that goes into the presentation and service.

You will enjoy scrumptious handcrafted canapés, beautifully presented with fresh flowers and elegant tableware, followed by a mouth-watering selection of dishes to choose from.

Can couples supply their own alcohol for the evening? Is there a corkage fee?

Carefully put together, our drinks packages offer a wonderful selection of wines from independent producers, as well as innovative cocktails always mindful of delicate presentation for your wedding day.

Our fully stocked and staffed bar located within the new, purpose-built Orangery runs alongside your day until the end of the night.

Our delicious wines have been lovingly selected from small, family-run wineries. You will have the opportunity to taste them during your complimentary food tasting.  However couples wishing to bring their own wine for the drinks reception and meal can do so but there is a corkage charge.

Are couples completely free to choose their own wedding entertainment & do you have a specific sound system?

We have a very comprehensive list of suppliers in all categories including entertainment and couples are free to choose from this list or source their own suppliers, however we do have a resident DJ and Chair Dresser.

However our licence prevents us from having bands but this does not prevent you from booking for example a saxophonist.

Do you offer accommodation on site? If so, for how many guests?

Yes we do!  Within Hayne House there is the complimentary bridal suite for all couples on the night of the wedding.  In addition there are two other en-suite guest rooms in the Hunting Pavilion along with five rooms at Froggies a beautiful B&B within the estate, meaning we can accommodate up to 16 people on site.

We can recommend accommodation in the local area including B&B properties and guest houses in the neighbouring villages and larger hotels in and around the coast.

 Do you have an in-house wedding co-ordinator?

Yes we do –  in fact we have a whole team of them!  Our wedding co-ordinators are always on hand to answer questions and we spend a lot of time getting to know you couples, both over the phone, via email and by holding a detailed wedding planning meeting, during open days, a menu tasting evening and we organise an inhouse annual wedding fayre.

It is our top priority to get to know all our couples and to make sure we give them as much support and guidance as they need in order to make sure their dreams become a reality on their wedding day.

Each couple will also have a Duty Manager who is on hand throughout the evening taking care of all aspects and all-importantly, making sure that every single minute detail is taken care of in line with the couples’ wishes right up to the moment that they take off their dancing shoes.

How far in advance can couples or their wedding stylist, florist etc have access to the venue in order to decorate it?

The bridal party and any suppliers involved in the setup of the wedding can access the venue on the big day from 9am onwards to add any decorative finishing touches..

We welcome all our couples to add their own unique sense of style to the venue with floristry and table decorations etc to complement their theme and colour scheme for their big day!

Do you have gardens or an outdoor area for wedding photographs?

Yes!  Hayne House is set in 35  acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with mature trees, so couple are spoilt for choice!  The sweeping driveway is lined with cherry trees and the gardens have festoon and fairy lights in to add that special twinkle to your day.

What’s your best advice to couples when choosing their perfect wedding venue?

Look for a garden venue that has a wet weather contingency!  Hayne House offers beautiful gardens as a back-drop no matter what the weather.

Any finally, what are your favourite moments from previous wedding you’ve been involved with?

There really are so many moments it really is impossible to choose! We love the time when one of the couples is getting ready with their wedding party and we run up stairs to announce their partner is on site and so are the rings.

Then there are the first moment looks – there are the inevitable tears of joy, followed by celebration tears as they walk back down the aisle showed with petals.

The first kiss, wow it always brings a pink blush to our checks and then when the couple play games in the gardens such as Hook a Duck or Tug of War – we love how competitive it can all become but in the best possible way.
