Supplier Catch Up with Emma at Urban Flower Farmer

by Michelle

Emma at Urban Flower Farmer is a dedicated and successful florist, growing her own flowers and sourcing locally whenever possible. Emma’s style has a natural beauty and looks and feels like you just landed in a beautiful garden.

With a commitment to preserving the environment and looking to rely much less on imported flowers, Emma has established her own flower field just outside London where she grows sustainable British flowers.

We had a super chat to Emma earlier in the year and we’re now delighted to catch up with her again and to check out her plans for the next twelve months.

Remind our readers what you do

At Urban Flower Farmer we specialise in wedding and event floristry and we also grow sustainable flowers at our urban flower field in NW London.

Our Style is very natural, a little bit wild and we love using unusual flowers and foliage that you don’t see in your regular florists. Because we grow a high percentage of our own flowers, we can make sure there is always something special that makes you stand out from the crowd in your event flowers.

What have you been up to since we last spoke?

Gosh, it’s been a super busy year here at Urban Flower Farmer. For a start we re-branded after 10 years. This was to reflect the growing side of the business so we have a shiny new website with fabulous photography.

Other than that we have been busy growing lots of lovely blooms and working with lots of brides and grooms on their special day. It really has been non-stop all year.

What are your stand-out moments since our last chat?

It’s got to be the re-brand. I feel so proud of what we have produced and it has really had a positive effect on the business. Lots of people are finding us online and love what we are trying to do. There are not many flower farmers in London!

What do you have planned for the next 12 months?

Our plan is to grow as a business and really concentrate on the wedding side of things. This is where we are really strong and what we absolutely love to do. I want to streamline things so that we are a wedding and events florist and that’s it!

We will continue to run our workshops as it’s a great way to reach out to people and spread the joy.
