Pink Dot Stationery offers a wide range of vibrant contemporary wedding stationery. We particularly love their personalised stationery as it’s a lovely opportunity to choose a favourite photo of yourselves, perhaps from an engagement shoot or something totally unposed and relaxed, the choice is yours.
As we’ve said many times before, your wedding stationery is a first ‘sneak a peak’ of your wedding that your guests get to see. So take a look at all the designs that Pink Dot Stationery have to choose from and ramp up the excitement by getting your big day details out there.
It’s straight over to Rebecca now to tell us more about her business.
Tell us a little about yourself and your business
Pink Dot Stationery is a stationery business set up by East Yorkshire Designer, Rebecca Humphreys.
Pink Dot Stationery aims to bring both personalised and non-personalised stationery to the UK and beyond. Bringing colour and pattern-based designs to bring joy to any occasion.
What motivated you to start your business?
I was asked last year to do stationery for two weddings and I cannot begin to describe how much I enjoyed making them. Each bride is different and wants a different look, therefore Pink Dot aims to try and bridge the gap between the modern, the vintage and the quirky.
Tell us a little more about the day to day activities of your business
Obsessively pinning inspiration on Pinterest, then scouring Instagram and trend websites. I collate them all make a digital inspiration board in Illustrator.
I then start to sketch out the designs, think about the font pairing, play around with colour digitally and hey presto – a new design is born!
If our readers were to order from you, what can they expect?
Lovingly designed stationery printed on high-quality paper.
The willingness to go that extra mile and make extra personalised touches if the couple wishes.
Communication from the start with attention to detail.
Elegant, modern and sometimes quirky stationery that brings happiness to its receiver.
How can couples judge if a company is the right fit for their wedding?
Like I have said before, each couple is different. I would always say think about your likes and dislikes first and foremost. Usually the first gut feeling is the right one! Don’t go mad with all the extravagance just because, buy something because you can and you like it. Talk to the supplier first, if something isn’t quite right, see if they can change something for you, we want your day to be special just like you!
What are your favourite moments from previous weddings you’ve been involved with?
Probably the scream of excitement I got from the bride when they opened their stationery in front of me, the smiles on the face is worth everything.
The bigger picture – does your business offer goods/services outside of the wedding world? Tell us more
This is part of the plan…. Pink Dot Stationery will expand in to personalised and non-personalised birth announcements, baby shower invites, personalised holiday cards, corporate cards and more. It’s very exciting.
What have you got planned for the next 12 months?
Pink Dot Stationery aims to introduce new designs each week with the aim of introducing the holiday stationery around autumn time so stay tuned!
And finally, what or who inspires you and why?
This is a tough one as there are so many I can think of. I think it’s more about what than the who. Bold colours, patterns and fun are a great mix. I am inspired by nature and you will find this throughout the designs.
