Every fashion conscious bride should check out One Day Bridal. But hey, slow down and before you go dashing off to do just that, stay with us for a while, as we’ve done the leg work for you and we are thrilled to showcase our favourites from this awesome Aussie label.
The only issue we have is that as we love all of One Day Bridal’s designs, it’s been difficult to curate them into a shortlist for the blog. So this post is slightly longer than usual, but it’s all good. You’ll see what we mean as you enjoy looking at all the gowns as they are fabulous.
One day Bridal pushes the boundaries in wedding dress design in such a stylish way. The One day bride is free spirited and is looking for a quality gown with a strong silhouette – a statement piece to feel both comfortable and confident in.
We love that One Day Bridal’s designs are fashion forward whilst also having a unique timeless quality. Here then are our highlights of the Chosen Collection. Enjoy!
Featuring an exposed corseted bodice and sleek off the shoulder details, the Hamilton Gown is fitted to the hips. The skirt then flares out gently, adding just enough drama to elevate this gown into the realms of the semi formal, whilst still allowing you to swish around and enjoy freedom of movement.
Now, the Toby Gown really is one to sparkle and shimmy in until your heart’s content. With it’s flattering kimono shape and silver embellishment on white tulle, this gorgeous gown will catch the light perfectly day or night.
A full skirt falls perfectly from the high fitted waist and forms a softly draped full train. A short tan slip is available allowing you to be modest yet as daring as you choose.
For brides looking for a little more cover, but also wanting to strike a contemporary note, the MacKeller Gown fits the bill perfectly.
The bodice features intricately designed all over corded lace detailing, with a cute keyhole back detail. The soft organza and tulle of the skirt really adds an extra dimension, giving such a fantastic light as air feel.
The Middleton Gown is ideal for the modern bride looking for something divinely different. The slim fitting V neck bodice acts as a perfect partner for the elaborate skirt with row upon row of finely layered tiered chiffon.
We think this is an amazing take on a traditional full skirted gown for the free spirited bride.
Applique adds texture and detail to a dress in the most flattering way. For an excellent example of this, just take a look at the Nora Gown. It has a fitted slimline silhouette with elaborate lace applique which follows and flatters the cut of the dress so well.
A low back, subtle sheer panels and a full length train complete this glamorous look.
You’ve just got to love lace, and here at Girl Gets Wed, we do, especially with it’s combined with edgy modern romanticism as in this amazing Pacific Gown.
The fitted bodice allows the full sleeves and even fuller skirt to really get out there and dazzle. What an absolute showstopper. A short tan stretch slip is included for modesty.
We just had to show you this Tallow Jacket. For such a structured piece in terms of style and cut, it’s so incredibly light looking.
Engineered lace, embroidered trims and statement sleeves all add to the drama of this statement piece. The masterstroke though is the silk chiffon neck tie which will billow and soar in the breeze – just imagine the photos!
