Earlier in the year, we had a great chat to Hannah who runs the Bridal Reloved Franchise in Street and it’s a pleasure to catch up with her now as we’ve just listed her on our new directory and Hannah is also keen to share her latest news including her first potoshoot that she shares with us. Over to Hannah now for that catch up.

Bridal Reloved Street is part of a franchise, specialising in the sale of preowned designer wedding dresses. We stock once worn, sample and new gowns from some of the top names in Bridal design including Jenny Packham, Ian Stuart, Naomi Neoh, Sassi Holford and many more.
Our boutique is perfect for brides who don’t want to have to compromise on style or quality. We offer the same experience you’d expect from any bridal store, a warm welcome, friendly advice, alteration service, steaming and storage of your dress.
Our boutique is conveniently located on the High Street in Street, Somerset, just down the road from Clark’s Village, which is the perfect place to shop suits and bridesmaids dresses too. Or, there are plenty of coffee shops or restaurants for you to visit if you need time to mull over that all important decision.
What have you been up to since we last spoke?
When we last spoke I was still in the whirlwind of opening a new business, since then we’ve been working hard to promote the Bridal Reloved name in Somerset. It’s certainly different from my former role as a teacher but it has been so exciting meeting lots of brides-to-be and their friends and family.
I’ve loved finding out about their engagements, plans for the big day and helping them search for their dream dress. My first six months have contained plenty of laughter and (happy) tears and I hope there is much more to come.
I’ve also really enjoyed becoming part of the local Wedding Industry, I’ve had the opportunity to network with so many independent companies and it’s great to be able to make recommendations to my brides. There is so much fabulous talent, right on our doorstep, here in Somerset.
What are your stand-out moments since our last chat?
Since opening I have 2 stand out moments: number one would be attending my first wedding fair with The Wedding Emporium in September; it was a 2 day event with over 90 different suppliers. It was a super busy weekend, not only did we chat to lots of very excited couples we also showcased a selection of our dresses on the catwalk.
This was a very proud moment, although a little manic behind the scenes, it was brilliant to see our dresses being shown off and the feedback from the audience was extremely positive. By 4pm on the Sunday my feet had definitely had enough but we had fully enjoyed the experience! We’re looking forward to attending this event again in March 2018.
The second stand out moment would have to be the first photoshoot I participated in. It was an Alice in Wonderland themed shoot working with suppliers from Devon and Somerset. We had a lot of fun and the icing on the cake was having our shoot featured on the front cover of ‘Your Bristol and Somerset Wedding’ magazine. You can find out more about all the incredible suppliers we worked with on our Facebook page.
What do you have planned for the next 12 months?
Our plans for the next 12months are to continue to promote Bridal Reloved and deliver 5 star service to all our brides to be. We are regularly looking to update our stock to reflect key bridal trends, so do keep an eye on our Facebook page for our new arrivals.
We hope to continue networking with other local suppliers; one way we are doing this is through the launch of our new magazine, ‘Wedding Fix’. With 11 Bridal Reloved stores across England currently, each store will have its own edition focusing on their region. Our Somerset edition will contain images from our photo shoots, accounts from real Bridal Reloved brides and directory listings of our recommended suppliers.
We also hope to host Styling Nights in the new year, these are mini wedding fairs giving couples the chance to talk in depth with a range of local suppliers. Again, we’ll be promoting these on our social media pages so don’t forget to follow us to stay up to date.
I hope that in 12 months time Bridal Reloved Street will be a well known and respected business in Somerset, one that prides itself on giving brides the service and experience they’ve dreamt about.
