We had our first chat to Sandie, the events organiser at Piggy Back Barns earlier in the year and now it’s a pleasure to have a quick catch up where Sandie shares a charming set of photos from a wonderfully cheerful and relaxed summer wedding and offers advice to couples when choosing their venue.
Briefly remind our readers what your venue has to offer
Our venue is a self catering barn that allows you to decorate and cater as you wish with the suppliers you choose. It is set on 500 acres of private estate providing glorious open fields for spectacular pictures.
What do you consider to be the most unique and charming feature of your venue?
Our open courtyards and juliet balcony to account for some great pictures, also open fields to catch that sunset picture as husband and wife.
Most couples look around several venues. What advice do you have for them when making their choice?
Make sure your happy on the location and venue itself, ask as any questions as possible and also make sure the price and what’s included is what your looking for. Don’t make a rash decision as sometimes things begin to surface when processing and planning moves forward
The look and feel of wedding celebrations varies so much, how can you help couples plan their perfect wedding?
Having eye for detail within my job as an event planner knowing how to incorporate a theme into any venue shouldn’t prove difficult for anyone with the experience. Making sure nothing is missed and everything that they want is booked as making cuts can make the day feel as though something is missing
We love to hear about favourite moments from weddings you have hosted. Which are the really heart-warming ones that make you job so rewarding?
For me the first dance has to be the most heart warming part of the weddings I have planned and coordinated, watching the new Mr & Mrs take that first dance and share the special moment as if no one else is in the room. But also seeing all the families together and happy is another heart warming moment
