Candi carts and your choice of personalised wedding favours can also be ordered to your requirements. Over to Aman, Wrapped Couture’s owner to tell you more about her business.
Tell us a little about yourself and your business
I am a mumpreneur, I have a passion for creating, whether it be floral centrepieces or quirky chocolate treats.
Having grown up in family business and pursued in a degree in business and accounts I followed the natural career into Accounting but also kept my creative side alive having fun with sweets and flowers.
What motivated you to start your business?
I started Wrapped Couture because I saw a lack of creativeness in the market for hampers, candi buffets and general gift ideas.
When I created hampers and edible treats I got a lot of comments and in turn requests started coming in and then the obvious “you should start a business” although I still wanted to pursue my academic side I also wanted to pursue my passion in creating sweet treats.
Tell us a little more about the day to day activities of your business
On daily basis I make sure I have my social media updated whether its inspirational or a new product, I am constantly researching and reviewing the market and looking at ways I can bring something new to my clients.
Follow up clients requests, research and marketing to local events/awards, developing my range of products and services.
If our readers were to order from you, what can they expect?
A creative bespoke product, whether it be a hamper, favour or sweet gift our products promise good taste and high quality some our products are limited design we do not like to replicate, so there’s always something different.
That way clients can be guaranteed there hamper/candi cart is truly bespoke.
How can couples judge if a company is the right fit for their wedding?
I think it comes down to how they get on with the owner, personality, taste and most importantly that the company understands the overall brief and expectation of the client. If there is an initial connection it makes it so much easier to deliver a service/product.
Couples must feel a passion from the company and that it isn’t just a business making money a general interest in the industry which they are operating in.
What are your favourite moments from previous weddings you’ve been involved with?
My favourite weddings/birthdays have been where clients have truly let me loose with my creativity….from creating Minnie Mouse Barfi Pops to the Floral Candi cart we created for couple who had a heavy floral/garden theme at their wedding.
The bigger picture – does your business offer goods/services outside of the wedding world? Tell us more
Although we started off working within the wedding industry our products and services have been bought by those celebrating Birthdays, corporate events and awards.
The way we see is that every celebration requires sweetening from favours to candi carts which are versatile for all events and clients.
What have you got planned for 2017?
2017 has been a great year for us at Wrapped Couture, we are constantly developing our range/services. We have recently set up an online shop which has made it easier for our clients to purchase our products.
We are working to launch our Day of the Dead range with high street retailers via The Great British Exchange.
Our Office Candi launch has gone well with corporate clients who seek branded sweets for promotional and events.
And finally, what or who inspires you and why?
Sweets inspire me, international food fairs, just sweets and chocolates in general, gifting ideas, client requests and market trends and fashions…and my husbands passion for all things sweet.
