Tell Us About Your Venue
Piggyback Barns is a family run business that is run by Tony and Lizzie Pointer and is situated in the North Norfolk countryside on 500 acres of land, 100 of which is woodland. As the owners they consider themselves extremely fortunate for their farm which is a haven for a myriad of different species of birds and fascinating wildlife which is on display every time you walk out of the front door or even when you sit in the gardens.
Built 180 years ago the red brick barns have been elegantly and sympathetically converted into three only what can be described as superb holiday homes, an ancient moat and grassed pathways to take nice long relaxing walks along, of which comes highly recommended and encouraged by the owners themselves.
Situated adjacent to Piggyback Barns stands what used to be a Bed and Breakfast run by the Pointer family, this is still occupied by the family today as a home and was been built on the 500 acres of moated land since before 1085; the property is Grade II Listed and was once part of The Cranmer Estate until it was split in 1941 when the Pointer family bought the farm.
The pathways on the land are signposted for all who want to enjoy this and you have the ability to enjoy a relaxing sit down at many of our ponds situated around the farmland. Our local church is situated a few minutes’ walk of the barns where we encourage brides and grooms to hold their ceremony with its lovely layout and location looking over the barns and farmland.

Any finally, what are your favourite moments from previous wedding you’ve been involved with?
We like to know we’ve accommodated all weddings sufficiently and always ensure that the barn is at it’s highest standard for the couples.
To see how couples decorate our venue using different themes is always lovely as it allows us to see it looking good in a variety of different styles, and not just one style like rustic.
When weddings are taking place in the summer to see the venue in the summers day light really gives the venue that beautiful surrounding feeling.
