We were thrilled showcase three of our fab florists yesterday as part of our Blooming Summer Inspiration series, and as promised we have more beautiful blooms that encapsulate the very best of summer for you today.
We’re featuring three of our lovely suppliers who all actively support the British flower growing industry. We love seasonal British blooms as you really can’t beat them for that ‘just picked from the garden’ look and as you know, many of our home grown blooms are intensely fragranced, which is brilliant for your bouquet and when used as table displays, they will be such a sensory treat; both looking and smelling divine.
Frances and Rose
Offering truly bespoke wedding flowers and event dressing with a signature romantic and ethereal style, Frances and Rose designs capture the very essence of that ‘just picked from the garden’ beauty and freshness that’s so popular amongst brides everywhere at the moment.
Frances and Rose bring a unique touch to contemporary floristry with a fondness for the wild and whimsical. They listen carefully to your ideas, then design and arrange truly bespoke blooms for you and your wedding. With the colour palettes, textures and fragrances reflecting the key elements of your big day.
Telling the story of your wedding through your choice of flowers sounds like a big ask, but if the gorgeous photos below and on their site are anything to go by, then, it’s a massive thumbs up from us. Read more about owner Marianne’s style in her recent Supplier Edit post.
Urban Flower Farmer
One of our earliest suppliers to be featured on the blog back in February was the fabulous florist Emma Sousa who has recently rebranded her business to become the Urban Flower Farmer. She is a dedicated and successful florist, growing her own flowers and sourcing locally whenever possible.
We’d like to take this opportunity to re-introduce you to Emma, do take a look at her new site, it’s gorgeous and looks and feels like you just landed in a beautiful summer garden.
With a commitment to preserving the environment and looking to rely much less on imported flowers, Emma has established her own flower field, just outside London where she grows sustainable British flowers. Specialising in Wedding and Event floristry. Emma is also a member of Flowers From The Farm, a network of growers from all over the UK, working to promote British blooms.

Buckets of Blooms
Buckets of Blooms is an artisan cut flower business growing beautiful, seasonal flowers in the heart of the Hampshire Downs. They specialise in growing fresh, fragrant, seasonal cut flowers for weddings and events, supplying both local florists and the local community.
Addressing the ever increasing demand from brides wishing to arrange their own flowers, particularly at their wedding venue, Buckets of Blooms also sell DIY flower buckets, for you to arrange yourself, with the flowers cut for your order, and conditioned ready for you to arrange.
Buying from British flower growers, also appeals to a growing number of brides, who are becoming more conscious of where their flowers are coming from and how they are grown. Other fabulous bonuses of local, naturally grown flowers and foliage is that their scent can be amazing and you can usually source flower varieties not generally widely available.
So, if you’re thinking of arranging some or all of your wedding flowers, have a read through this great post where we chat to owner Buckets of Blooms owner Niki.
